In the right hands, these woods make a variety of sounds ethereal and earthly, deep and bright. Formed in the spring of 2023, brightwood takes its name from our instruments’ sounds.
Brightwood is also a place name in Central Virginia. With deep roots in this region and based in Charlottesville, the members of brightwood also find inspiration in the area’s natural beauty.
